Teach Plus Fellow – Chosen for a highly selective fellowship of 30 teachers from the state for demonstration of leadership skills and classroom effectiveness. Co-author of the policy paper, "The Mental Health Equation," that informed and aided in passing the mental health bill HB18. Advocated for improved teacher preparation, mentoring, and professional development at the Texas Legislature, op-ed writing, and meetings with legislators/legislative staff that influenced HB3 funding priorities
